This month was/is the month we probably need the most prayer! May is always stuffed full of ‘problems’ as we prepare for hosting the summer mission teams. The enemy does not want God’s glory to shine through the summer teams. We know that our battle is not of flesh. So with the sword of the Spirit we fight on.
End of April/first of May has already seen the Clows with some sickness. PLEASE PRAY FOR GOD’S HEALING HAND ON OUR LIVES.
The Clow kids are ready to be out of school (and we are ready for them to be out of school).
PRAY FOR GOOD ATTITUDES AS WE FINISH THE YEAR OUT.
Finances are day by day.
PRAY THAT WE CAN TRUST IN OUR FATHER WHO MEETS ALL OUR NEEDS.
MAY 5TH STARTED A STEADY STREAM OF VISITORS, A KIND OF PRECURSOR TO SUMMER TEAMS. WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR THE FLOYDS, THE SMITHS AND JAMIE WHO HAVE/ARE HERE WITH US. SOON ARRIVING WILL BE A DOCTOR . AND THEN...TEAMS AND INTERNS ARRIVE!
As always, regular ministry continues. I am still meeting on a weekly basis with 4 teenage girls to disciple them. John continues to divide his time between Armenia Bonito and La Isla - sharing the gospel of grace through word and deed with the Honduran employees. One of our favorite quotes:
“GO AND PREACH THE GOSPEL AND IF NECESSARY USE WORDS”
Francis of Assis.
This quote is quite applicable to our summer teams since the majority of them do not speak Spanish. We are constantly ask, “Do we really make a difference? We are only here a week and not able to communicate.” Our answer is always yes! God works through the most unlikely and under-qualified people (hey - that’s why the Clows are here) because that’s when HE gets all the glory, honor and praise.
“Not to us OH LORD, but to YOUR NAME be glory!”
Thank you for your prayers as we enter our summer team schedule.
