Visiting Reynosa
I wrote this post last Wednesday - just now getting around to publishing it......
Yesterday the kids and I met up with several friends in Reynosa. We ended up spending almost 5 hours just sitting in Carl's JR and talking. Never mind that the noise of all the kids screaming in an inclosed tile floor and block wall room made my ears hurt! It was still fun! Never mind that I have hardly spoken Spanish this year and had to listen carefully and intently just to understand 1/2 of what was being said - I still LOVED the hours spent with friends I haven't seen in almost a year. Mexico will always hold a special place in our hearts. Saying goodbye is not always easy. Several times I was asked, "How do you do it? How do you just pick up and move to a whole different country and culture?" My answer: "When God calls there is only one answer - 'hear am I, send me' ". Doesn't mean that it's easy, that I am always 'in love' with the call. But knowing that I am right where God wants me...how can I argue?
On the flip of saying goodbye is saying hello. For that, I am so excited about what the near future will bring! I can't wait to introduce our kids to our new team mates. I am eager to make new friends and have the kids new friends over for play dates. Mostly I anticipate the relationships we will form in Honduras that God will use to build His Kingdom! TO HIM BE THE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER!
I have pictures to post but for some reason they don't want to upload...aghhh!

ReplyDeleteYou will love Honduras. I was only there for one week and I miss it dearly! I'll be praying for you as you make the transition.
